Elisabeth Dütschke from Fraunhofer presented MUSTEC at the International Conference on Environmental Psychology (ICEP) in Plymouth, UK on the 6th of September 2019.
The presentation was focused on perspectives from European stakeholders on bilateral cooperation via joint projects.
The main conclusions derived include that market acceptance for CSP seems feasible and positive on the supply side, however the demand side is less clear and suffering from low levels of knowledge and interest. Local acceptance is not identified as specifically critical for CSP. Socio-political acceptance is heterogeneous with stronger support in Spain and among scientists and technology developers while policy makers especially in Germany and the Netherlands are more critical. Overall different narratives seem to emerge which could lead to diverging views.
